FCI Manager Subject Wise Last Minute Tips

With only three days left for the FCI Manager examination, the candidates preparing for the same can resort to the subject-wise last-minute tips as mentioned below. These subject-wise tips help in maintaining accuracy and speed while attempting the written exam.

English Ability

Try to pick at least two English-based newspapers and read them sincerely. It helps increase the overall reading speed. Hence, the candidates should rely on these two newspapers for covering the comprehension section. Next, comes the grammar portion, for that, try to attempt at least four to five small quizzes regularly. This not only helps with the practice but also helps in maintaining speed and accuracy.

Reasoning

Reasoning ability accounts for twenty-five marks which are almost one-fourth of the total marks. We advise going through the syllabus and making a habit of practicing for almost 2 to 2.5 hours. Pay more attention to solving puzzles and seating arrangement questions from different sources. Try to make more than three possibilities while solving the puzzle-based questions.

Next, pick at least one course from the miscellaneous section and practice at least 25 to 30 questions based on that. An expert tip for the students going to write the exam is to first attempt the miscellaneous questions and then go for the puzzle/seating arrangement questions to save time.

Quantitative Aptitude

The Quantitative Aptitude section is one of the tricky sections of the FCI Manager mains exam. An expert tip for the students going to write the exam is to first attempt the miscellaneous questions and then go for the Quantity comparison, Inequalities, and Quadratic equations questions to save time.

Next, special emphasis should be given to the Data Interpretation questions. These are also asked in a set of five questions and can easily fetch 10 marks if practiced well. The last preference is given to the questions asked from the miscellaneous topics. These are very tricky to solve hence candidates should only attempt those questions that are easy.

Current Affairs

The syllabus of current affairs is very vast as it is asked for the last six months. Hence, candidates should make a habit of studying current affairs every day and making short notes for last moment revision. Prepare a revision sheet with important courses and use it for last moment revision.

A primary school teacher in Mandera East was arrested over an exam malpractice on Tuesday.

Police are probing how three candidates sitting for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exam were found in possession of mobile phones.

Mandera county criminal investigations officer Benedict Kigen said the three phones were confiscated by a supervisor at Tawakal Primary School on the outskirts of Mandera town.

“We are interrogating a centre manager to know how these candidates ended up with mobile phones in the examination room,” he said.

Kigen said the police are looking for another centre manager suspected to be behind the examination leakage in Mandera East.

This was after police established whatever was shared in the phones came from another school in the area.

Police said an officer was also injured at Tawakal Primary School after unknown persons pelted stones at the school.

Police suspect he was attacked by people who wanted to sneak in mobile phones but were being blocked by their vigilance.

The three candidates were allowed to continue with their examination as investigations go on.

This was after it emerged whatever they had, had no direct impact on the examination, police and exam officials said.

Officials are on alert to avert any form of exam leakage in the ongoing exercise in the country.

Multi agency teams are monitoring the exercise.

The event takes place November 12-16, 2022 at the Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate in Orlando, FL. Register here.

"Service Management World focuses on the challenges and opportunities facing service management leaders today," said Tara Gibb, Senior Director, HDI. "Our keynote presentations will inspire attendees to think about their work and support their teams in innovative ways and will allow them to leave the conference with insights that can be directly implemented into their organizations."

Service Management World keynote presentations:

  • Stephen Shapiro, Innovation Evangelist and Author will present "Build a Better Box: Innovating to Differentiate and Stay Ahead of the Competition." Shapiro will discuss how to cultivate innovation by showing leaders and their teams how to approach, tackle and solve their business challenges. Attendees will discover how to reframe challenges, harness the insights of specialists and generalists and find creative solutions throughout an organization.

  • Jessica Kriegel, Workplace Culture Expert will present "The Culture Equation: Power Your Strategy and Accelerate Performance." Attendees will leave the keynote with a new perspective on managing and championing cultural transformation and steps for cultivating an intentional culture that empowers a business strategy and accelerates performance.

In addition, Service Management World will offer a keynote panel on "The ‘How’ of Enterprise Service Management." For many organizations, Enterprise Service Management becomes an attempt to replicate IT Service Management (ITSM) outside the walls of IT, but it may be more valuable to think in terms of the functions and challenges faced by business units, separate from the IT component. Only when that is understood, can leaders understand and evolve those functions through a service management lens. Panelists Marie DiRuzza, Director, Campus Technology & Media Services, Mount Holyoke College, Erika Flora, President/CEO, Beyond20 and Valence Howden, Principal Research Director, Infotech Research Group will discuss how Enterprise Service Management will help teams create maximum value.

Additional highlights of Service Management World:

  • The conference program will offer dozens of sessions from proven industry experts in the following tracks: Modernizing Service Management, Optimizing Culture and Leadership, Connecting the Dots: Frameworks and Methodologies and Driving Strategic Decision-Making. View the complete program here.
